Hey, I got a new HP 15s laptop just yesterday and the mouse feels odd, almost as if it's lagging or sticking. It's particularly annoying when fine-editing some text on Word, for instance.
Does anyone have an answer?

Hi @RuiSa166,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing an odd feeling with the touchpad on your HP 15s laptop, there could be a few potential causes.
- Dirty touchpad: The touchpad may have accumulated dirt, dust, or other debris which is affecting its sensitivity and responsiveness. Try wiping the touchpad gently with a clean, dry cloth to remove any buildup.
- Driver issues: The touchpad driver may be outdated or corrupted, which could be causing issues with its functionality. Try updating the driver through the Device Manager in Windows or by downloading the latest driver from the HP website.
- Hardware issues: If the touchpad is physically damaged or malfunctioning, it may need to be replaced.
- Settings: The touchpad settings may be set in a way that is causing the odd feeling. Try adjusting the settings to see if that makes any difference.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
