Hi
I've had my HP since 2022, product number 3A9B2LA#AKH and serial number 8CG1455P1W. I'm having problems with the touchpad. I think I accidentally uninstalled a driver from Device Manager, and now it's not working.
I tried downloading a driver from the HP website for my PC model, but since there wasn't one with the same operating system version (25H2), I opted for a similar one (22H2). That solved the problem for a few days, but then it stopped working again. I don't know if it's something I can fix myself, if I should take it to a repair shop, or if I need to buy a specific driver. I'm currently using a USB mouse.
Also, I've noticed that for the past few months, my battery life has been very short. After only a few minutes of use with just a few pages open, it gets quite hot, and the battery starts to drain rapidly. I'd say that in two hours, it goes from 100% to 30%, which didn't happen at first. I try to keep the brightness low and close windows I'm not using; I only use it for university.
I've been looking for a solution for both of these issues for a while now. The virtual assistant isn't solving my problem, and I'm afraid the repair will be expensive. 😞 I hope someone can contact me, or if anyone else has experienced the same problem.
PS: The solutions I've found are from the HP support Chile, where I am from.

Re-install that 22h2 driver then prevent windows from updating drivers.
Enter "Advanced System Settings" in the windows search bar and check the "no".
