My Touchpad has been acting up lately. Sometimes it works, but after a reboot it doesn't and shows "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the HID descriptor failed."

I don't think it's a hardware issue, as resetting the drivers by disabling and re-enabling seems to fix the problem, although it might take a few attempts or a reboot. Either way, i am trying to update the drivers to see if that fixes the problem but when i try to update the driver from the website, i get an OS compatibility error as the latest update is for 22h2 and i am on 23h2. This has been an ongoing issue for a while now. i have seen quite a few people with the same problem with the same laptop model I think the Drivers need an update. I'm not sure, but if anyone finds a temporary fix, please let me know.

I have tried this already. Once I go through the driver installer it shows a pop saying "The driver is not supported on this OS version (10.0.22631)." However, I think I found the cause of the issue. When my trackpad stops working. I can just flex the casing of the laptop at the bottom where the trackpad is to get it working again. I don't know how that works and why that seems to fix it but it works for me for the time being. I am now wondering if it even is a driver issue. It might just be a hardware issue where the trackpad's wire might just be loose or something I'm not sure.
