Hi,

I just found out that after the recent OS update version 23H2, my touchpad stopped working.

However the keyboard is working but i am not able to use the touchpad. Even the cursor is not showing.

I had tried to update the latest BIOS and then install the new synaptics touchpad driver but it is again showing the error that "The driver is not supported on this OS version"

I tried to find this 23H2 version on HP Support but it seems they have not uploaded the drivers for this version. It is only showing version upto 22H2.

It is also showing the I2C HID Device error "This device can not start"

I reset my device its started working flawlessly and the next day it stopped working and the driver of the touchpad is also not visible in the driver manager

Note: I had tried all the basic troubleshooting to rectify it but with no success. It seems it is related to the new software update as the external mouse is working fine.

I've been dealing with the same issue for about 4 months now - all the drivers on the HP website for the pavillion all say they're not appliable for my OS version. I have no choice with the constant updates from Microsoft so it's so disappointing the HP touchpad drivers do not work and I have to use an external mouse at all times.
