HP OmniBook 7 16 inch Laptop AI PC 16-ay0000 (B17JSAV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I received my new HP Omnibook 7 AI 16-ay0770ng today. I ordered it directly from the HP store and haven't turned it on yet. When unpacking it, I noticed that the touchpad on the right side is lower in the frame than on the left side. On the left, the touchpad is flush with the frame, but on the right, it is significantly lower (perhaps 1 mm or so).

Is this normal?

Does it look the same for you?

Or should I return the Omnibook?

What do you think?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

@HaSchmidt, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query.

Based on your description, the touchpad misalignment you’re seeing is not normal. I recommend returning the HP Omnibook 7 AI 16-ay0770ng for a replacement

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
