Hi. I have problems with the touch screen laptop HP ENVY X 360 M6-W105DX does not work the touch screen driver. Operating system Windows 10 Home, 64 bit. The BIOS has been updated to the latest version of F.37, the new Windows 10 Home 2004 has been loaded, all Windows Update updates have been installed and the sensor is not working. Help install the touch screen driver, please.
The I2C HID Device is visible in Device Manager. I also tried to update the drivers using HP Support Assistant. No result.
I see that the problem with the touchscreen drivers of HP is not solved. This is not good when such premium laptops have problems.

@afex Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that the touchscreen is not working.
I have a few steps that should resolve your concern:
I recommend checking if the Touch is working on BIOS (Accessed by tapping on F10 while restarting the computer).
If it works on bios, it's a software issue, update the drivers from the HP Website, if the issue persists: please reinstall windows using the recovery partition or the recovery media to fix the issue
Attempt to run a test using the HP hardware diagnostic tool,
If it doesn't work on BIOS or the diagnostics tool either,
it's a hardware failure and you may need to Contact HP to set up a hardware repair service.

Hi. The problem is not solved. In the BIOS, the touch screen does not work. In Device Manager, I see an I2C HID Device with error code (10). There is no driver on the HP website to download manually. Is the file sp76141.exe HP HD Touchscreen Controller Firmware Update related to the touch screen driver update? What are my next steps?

I understand your concerns,
In that case, I would suggets you perform the system restore.
Have a nice day!!

Unfortunately this is the type of rubbish technical advice that is begging for "likes" that actually helps noone. The disappearing touchscreen issue has been left unresolved by HP for a couple of years now. I keep on checking back in to see if a solution has been developed but clearly it's a low (=NO) priority issue for HP and the technical guys keep on suggesting "Restore" and therefore set back every other function of your PC to the Dark Ages!!!!

Hi. Yes of course. I want to hope that this is a software error with the driver. Because I see "I2C HID Divice" in the device manager. If the cable or motherboard is broken then it needs to be repaired by HP.

Thank you for posting back.
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would suggest performing system factory reset will put the computer back to the original factory settings in this way all corrupted and outdated software will be removed.
While doing the recovery there is an option to back up your personal files. If you have not previously done one now is a good time.
Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows )You can also contact HP support for assistance. They can remotely access your system to help alleviate difficulties: www.hp.com/contacthp/
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hi. Thank you for trying to help me. My attempts to restore the laptop ended in failure. HP Cloud does not support recovery of my laptop! Although he is not that old. ;))) I agree to a full restore of the laptop to factory settings. If possible, give a link to the recovery of my laptop model.
