HP Recommended

My laptop has touchscreen from the start. I recently changed my laptop's C drive to make it faster, but when the repair shop fixed it, they installed a Windows version which does not support the touchscreen feature. I have tried touchscreen troubleshooting where you need to touch blocks and drag and drop them, and it responded accurately. However, when I touch my screen normally, it doesn't work. I have tried a few options from the virtual assistant of HP, but the solutions it gave me were not even showing. For eg: It told me to open device manager and then on human interface devices. There it told me to click on touchscreen option but there was no option like that! There are no drivers in the device manager too for touchscreen. I dont want to do the hard reset (as it will delete my data). How do I fix this?
