Spectre 13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone!
I have a Hp Spectre 13. Since I upgraded my laptop to windows 10, the touschscreen started to give me one problem: sometimes the touch screen is pressed by itself repeatedly in the upper right corner of the screen.

This kind of issue prevent me to use my notebook so I was forced to disable the touch screen driver.

I've research one upgraded driver from hp website without success.

Can anyone suggest me a solution?

Thank you,
Giordano.

To calibrate the touchscreen, place the tablet-notebook in the desired orientation and do the following actions.

  1. Click or tap Start > Control Panel > Tablet PC Settings to open the Tablet PC Settings window.

  2. On the General tab, select the option to display the menus in either the Right-handed or Left-handed position.

  3. On the General tab, select the desired screen orientation from the drop-down menu, and click or tap Calibrate.

Follow the instruction to touch the screen at the specified points.

Repeat this calibration action for all four of the screen orientations, then click or tap Apply.

  4. On the Handwriting Recognition tab, select the Use the handwriting personalization option.

  5. At a later time, you can return to review the Go to Pen and Input Devices and Go to Input Panel Settings options to make using the touchscreen to control programs and input text easier and more accurate.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that you're experiencing display /touchscreen issue,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you checked the display in BIos?
  • Have you checked the display on an external monitor/TV?
  • Does it appers like internal screen damage?
  • Could please share the screenshot of the display?\

While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

Checking display in bios:

Start the computer and press ESC, F1, F2, F8 or F10 during the initial startup screen.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

-I've test the laptop on external monitor and it work properly

-In attached you can find also a screenshot

Sometimes seems that a ghost touch the screen in the upper right side of display.

I don't know what kind of tests can I do for find this issue.
