It didn't work for me.  I have uninstalled Synaptics touchpad driver and reinstalled from HP support page and it still won't work.  I have tried updating driver too.  Nothing works.

@SarahF3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details and I would appreciate if you could, perhaps elaborate on your concern.

  • What is the exact model for your computer?
  • What is the operating system you are using?
  • What is the exact issue you are facing?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Look forward to hearing from you and you have a great day!

Take care.

Cheers!

My computer is an HP Envy x360 model m6-aq005d, product #X2K41UA#ABA

When I came back to this board to see if there was a response, I see that some moderator changed my topic.  My touchscreen works fine.  I have no cursor.  This began after the latest Windows update to 1909.  I have tried to update the Synaptics touchpad driver, uninstalled and reinstalled, etc..  None of this is working.  Since I have seen others on here with the same problem, I don't believe it is due to a faulty touchpad.  Even went to the Synaptics site for the latest driver and no luck.

@SarahF3,

Thank you for the information.

I suggest you press the Windows key on your keyboard and the cursor should come back on. If this doesn’t fix the issue, then following the below key combinations.

Fn + F3

Fn + F5

Fn + F9

Fn + F11

If you continue facing the issue, then I recommend you perform a system restore back to the date when the cursor was working fine and check.

Follow the steps in the below article to perform a system restore.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
