Hi @Papyrus3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how inconvenient it is when the trackpad stops working unexpectedly, especially on a high-performance laptop like your Victus. Let’s try to pinpoint the issue and get it resolved.

  1. Did the trackpad stop working after a specific update or any changes made to the system?
  2. Is the trackpad entirely unresponsive, or does it work intermittently?
  3. Have you tried connecting an external mouse, and does it work without issues?

Check Trackpad Enable Settings:

  • Press Fn + F9 (or the specific key combination for your laptop) to ensure the trackpad isn’t accidentally disabled.

Update or Reinstall Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager, expand Mice and other pointing devices, and right-click on the trackpad driver (e.g., Synaptics or Precision Touchpad). Select Update Driver.
  • If updating doesn’t help, uninstall the driver and restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Enable Trackpad in Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and ensure the touchpad toggle is turned on.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Shut down your laptop, disconnect the power adapter, and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect the power and turn it back on.

Run HP Diagnostics:

  • Restart the laptop, press Esc repeatedly, and select System Diagnostics. Run a test for the touchpad to identify hardware issues.

If the issue persists, it could be a hardware-related problem, and reaching out to HP Phone support might be necessary.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
