HP Pavilion x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ek1000 (742J1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently (3 days ago) received my laptop, with touchscreen. But sinds yesterday my touchscreen is giving so-called 'ghost touches' on one part of the screen. Touchscreen doesn't work there at all, only with these ghost touches. It seems that it is not a technical problem, since all the tests I ran are completely fine. Do you know if it's possible to return this laptop, and get the same model in return? Or to repair the screen?

Windows has a tool to calibrate the touch screen as described in this HP video.

Unless I am mistaken, you have a new laptop that is under warranty.  The built-in UDFI diagnostics should have the option to test the touch screen.  if it fails to work properly during diagnostics then return it under warranty.

Check to see if there is a hardware problem: Watch this video.

Tap the ESC key after powering on. Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.

If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty

If the component is not tested then possibly it is in the updated version of UEFI diagnostics.

HP releases newer UEFI diagnostics periodically.
When you select F2 during boot you are requesting UEFI diagnostics.
There is an updated diagnostics package Click Here
Look for the phrase 'issues outside the OS',
Expand the '+' symbol and click the DOWNLOAD button.
The version of the UEFI diagnostics is shown at the left of that DOWNLOAD button.
When you press F2 to run diagnostics please ensure the version is the new one.

This can be installed from a USB flash drive if necessary.

If no failure then windows drivers or file corruption could be the problem.

Let me know what you find out.
