Hi @michelle343,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that you see an error code 0xA00F4244 in the Camera app signifies that the app is unable to access your camera. This issue could arise due to several reasons such as a disabled camera, driver issues, or incorrect app permissions. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Verify Camera in Device Manager

  • Press Win + X → Device Manager.
  • Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
  • If your camera is listed but disabled, right‑click → Enable device.

Check Privacy Settings

  • Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
  • Ensure Camera access is turned On.
  • Allow apps (like Camera, Teams, Zoom) to use the camera.

Update or Reinstall Camera Driver

  • In Device Manager, right‑click your camera → Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for drivers.
  • If that doesn’t help, uninstall the device and restart your PC  Windows will reinstall the driver.
