Seeking solution to connecting two Dell E2020h monitors to my HP 15-dy2035tg laptop.

2 available laptop output ports: (1) HDMI and (2) superspeed usb type-c® 5gbps signaling rate

Dell E2020h monitors each have DisplayPort input ports. I have two cables: (1) DisplayPort to DisplayPort and (2) DisplayPort to USB-c.

I learned that the laptop SS USB type-c does NOT have the correct "video out" signal for the DP to USB-c cable to work. What is recommened for adapters or hub/dock for the best and most efficient setup to make dual monitor work with my HP laptop?

Thank you in advance for any help as I'm confused with the large variety of products that are available and deciding which will work with my setup.

The specs of your machine is

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c07224652

It ONLY has 1  SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

     Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,

Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                    USB to HDMI Adapter

For more connectivity, please use

                         True Universal Docking Stations

Regards.
