Hello,

The laptop I bought doesn't have HDMI but only a thunderbolt 4, I am trying to connect it to my stereo receiver and into my TV to no avail. I bought a USB C to HDMI adapter but the stereo receiver doesn't seem to recognize the laptop and doesn't show on the tv. 

To rule out the adapter I plugged directly into a monitor and it worked. I also used the adapter via my phone and it seemed to work with the receiver. By elimination it would mean there is a laptop issue?

 

Any help would greatly appreciated
