USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s). This is the specification of the Type-C of my PC. Does it mean that is Data Transfer only? Because I'm trying to link my second monitor with an HDMI adaptor but it seems that it doesn't work.

Hello
yes, it just support data only, like if it were a USB Type A port.
it menas you need an external graphics card (typically DisplayLink chip) integrated in the external device with an HDMI port
USB-C ports able to provide video signal and PowerDelivery (it menas you can charge the notebook via USB-C) could be described as USB-C Video alternate port + PD or something similar.
bye
