HP Stream 11-ak0000 Laptop PC (8QY67AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I am curious if the the USB-C plug on my laptop supports video out for like HDMI, even though the computer has an HDMI port, I am trying to see if USB-C plug dock will work where I can extend onto 2 different screens plus my laptop or if I need to buy an HDMI splitter to do this.

What is your HP Stream 11-ak0000 Laptop PC (8QY67AV)  machine ? It could be one of the following 40 machines. For example

         HP Stream Laptop 11-ak0040nr

It ONLY has 1 hopeless  USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data transfer only, data 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

@Banhien

Thank you for that info. My computer is HP Stream Laptop 11-ak0013dx (435V4UA).

It sound like mine has the one hopeless usb-c port that is just for data transfer. I will look into an USB to HDMI adapter to see is that will work.

Thank you
