I just bought a USB-C Dock G5 to use with my HP Pavillion laptop. I am trying to add a LG monitor connecting with HDMI, but nothing displays. I am not able to force detection in the Display Settings. I have updated the firmware of the Dock and installed the latest Windows updates. When I plug in the USB-C, Windows gives and error that "Display Connection Might Be Limited". I tried the troubleshooting steps provided but did not work. I did not try a new cord since this one is brand new. Please help.

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/si-en/document/c06447667
It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port. The HP USB-C G5 dock requires TRUE USB-C port (not just Data transfer port) or Thunderbold 3 port.
Regards.
