HP EliteBook 845 G7 Notebook PC (1V4L6AV)

When I take my laptop (EliteBook 845 G7) to a conference room that uses HDMI interfaces to monitors and it uses a HP USB-C Dock G5, the A/V system does not detect a video source (HDMI or DisplayPort) coming out of the dock. However, if I remove the A/V HDMI input cable from dock and plug directly into onboard HDMI port the A/V system picks up the video just fine.

I’ve tried a different, brand new dock with same result. I’ve tried disconnecting dock, shutdown laptop and restart with no success. I know the docks work if I substitute the A/V system with a desktop monitor. Any assistance would be appreciated. I really want to use the USB-C dock in conference room because it charges my laptop and connects to internet without having to use separate USB-C adapters.

@Rick542

Do they work on NORMAL monitors (DP, HDMI ports from the dock) ?

Regards.

Yes other hp monitors work fine when connected to HDMI and DisplayPort ports.

Should I try connecting a different laptop, same model, to the G5 dock to see if it's just one?
