HP Pavilion 15-cs0975nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion 15-cs0975nd, with HDMI 1.4 and a USB-C connector. I bought a second screen, Philips, with resolution 3440x1440. This resolution can not be used with the HDMI-connector, only lower, because it's HDMI 1.4

Can I connect a displayport-adapter to the USB-C connector and use that to get the max resolution of 3440x1440? Or is the USB-C connector for data-transmission only? Ther is no logo printed next to the connector and the specifications online don't help.

@Klevant

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether you can connect a display to the USB C port on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

The USB C port on your computer supports only data transfer and you will not able to connect a display to it.

Refer to the below link for the product specifications.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
