I have been trying to connect my laptop to a second monitor. I am using a usb c cable. The laptop gives an error "display connection might be limited". Second monitor does not go on automatically when I connect. When I manually turn the monitor on, the message is "no usb signal from your device". I have tried the usual troubleshooting material available online. I have also installed some driver to help, but still unresolved.

Appreciate if someone can help!

Your PC does not support video out from the USB-C port.

You need a PC that specifically supports that feature--one with a USB-C/Thunderbolt port.

I also tried with HDMI - USBC cable both ways. Same issue.

You cannot use the USB-C port with any type of cable to connect with an external display.

If the HDMI port doesn't work, I wouldn't be able to help you with that problem, and recommend that you start a new discussion on that issue.
