I have an HP Laptop 15-ef1021nr with one external monitor added using the HDMI port. I want to add another monitor so I would have 3 extended screens (two monitors and laptop screen - no mirroring). Can I use the USB-C port to extend to this monitor? The online product specifications show that this is a SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate. The actual port on the laptop does not have a SS or thunderbolt label on it. Will this port work for an additional monitor?

Hi @gevans0,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

To add an external monitor, you cannot use a USB-C port alone, however, you may use a docking station to connect your second monitor.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
