@Jens_Davidsson1, Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP ZBook Fury 17 G7 Mobile Workstation (9UY36AV).
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!
If your HP ZBook Fury 17 G7 is experiencing issues with USB-C connectivity, follow these steps to try and resolve the issue:
- Check Physical Connections:
- Ensure that all USB-C cables are properly connected and not damaged. Inspect the ports for any debris or physical damage.
-
Try using different USB-C devices or cables to rule out the possibility of a faulty cable or device.
-
Inspect USB-C Port:
-
Examine the USB-C ports on your laptop for any visible dirt or damage. Use compressed air to clean the ports if needed.
-
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect all peripheral devices and unplug the power adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to perform a hard reset.
-
Reconnect the power adapter and try using the USB-C ports again.
-
Upgrade Firmware and Drivers:
- Ensure all system drivers are up-to-date, especially those related to USB devices.
-
Check for any specific firmware updates for your USB-C ports or docking station if you are using one. Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page for the latest updates.
-
BIOS Update:
-
Sometimes, updating the BIOS can solve USB port issues. Ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest version.
-
Test in Safe Mode:
-
Boot your laptop in safe mode to check if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is related to third-party software.
-
Check Power Settings:
- Go to Power & Sleep settings and under Additional power settings, select your preferred power plan and click on “Change plan settings”. Then click on “Change advanced power settings”.
-
Ensure that USB settings are adjusted to prevent USB selective suspend mode, which can sometimes impact device detection.
I hope this helps!
Take care and have an amazing day!
