Hello,

I have a strange problem.
I´ve been using an HDMI to USB-C cable, always using the left side port, without any trouble. Recently I´ve been away for a few weeks. I formatted the PC and updated the drivers (using Driver Easy), and everything seemed to work perfectly.
However, now I´m back and my left port doesnt seem to work for HDMI. When I move the same cable to the right one, it works perfectly on the display.
Everything else works correctly also on the left USB-C: I connected a USB Hub and my phone, and they work normally.

When I plug the HDMI to USB-C cable it seems to be recognized, as in the Device manager it appears a USB 2.0 Billboard.

But the projection options do not work.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
Thank you.

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with the computer.. I will be delighted to assist you here.

I suspect it could be an issue with the driver's. Follow this link and install the chipset drivers.

Keep me posted. 🙂

Thank you for your answer.

I also thought that, so I tried all of the released drivers and none seems to fix it. Also, the latest Graphics driver gives an error when launching After Error, so I had to roll it back.
I couldn´t find the original drivers for the USB.

What I find a bit disturbing is that it works on one port but not on the other (but all the rest works on that port, so the port seems to be okay).

Thanks for the response.

In this case, I recommend to perform a complete recovery, which would take it back to the factory settings, but before doing this, please take a back up of the data.

Follow this link for instructions.

Let me know. 🙂
