USB-C to VGA adapter not working.

Hello there!

I currently have 1 HDMI port on this laptop which I use. I want to connect a second monitor, and have tried a few USB and USB-C to VGA and HDMI adapters. I first tried USB/USB-C to HDMI but that didn't work, however in the product specification pdf it says that USB-C to VGA is a compatible accessory for this specific device.

I have tried USB and USB-C to VGA, and tried many fixes to get it to work, however it just doesn't work and is not being detected.

Can someone possibly help me out here?

I'm wondering if I need to use USB-A and does it need to be DisplayLink Certified and VGA/HDMI

Hi @Creavite 

Yes, you must use a DisplayLink compatible dock. USB ports on the device are not DisplayPort compatible

Will it have to be the superspeed USB-A port? Or can I use something else. and does it have to output HDMI/VGA or either?

The dock compatible with DisplayLink, can use either port, it is your choice if you want to use the USB-A port or the USB-C port.
