HP Laptop 15-gw0xx

After this driver update, my HID-compliant mouse driver does not work properly on Product number 200S9UA#ABA.

The USB mouse freezes constantly and is unusable. Touchpad is fine. Please tell me how to fix, or how to uninstall.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that the USB mouse is freezing, I am glad to assist you.

Go to the Device Manager and select your mouse. Uninstall it and then restart your computer. During restart, your mouse driver will automatically be reinstalled.

1.   Click on Start and type ‘Device Manager’.

2.   Click Device Manager.

3.   Click + sign next to Mouse.

4.   Right-click on mouse entry and choose "uninstall".

5.   Restart your computer.

If the issue persists, after the above steps and updating the BIOS/Chipset drivers, please check with an alternate mouse to verify if this is an issue with either the mouse or your computer.

Keep me posted.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
