So I use an hp elitebook 870 g7 for work and I have an hp usb-C docking station.

how do I connected the laptop to my ultra wide lG monitor LG 38WK95C-W.

 

I get the display limited error everything I plug the us can from the monitor to the doc station 

 

i tried the other cable such as display port and hdmi it doesn’t detect another monitor

What is your dock ? Please use monitors setup/solution depending on USB-C port on your machine and the dock.
