I have both an HP Elite x2 1012 G1 and G2. They both have 8Gb RAM. The G1 has an m7-6Y75 @ 1.2Ghz CPU with Intel HD Graphics 515 and the G2 has an i5-7200U@2.50 Ghz with Intel HD Graphics 620.
I often use them on a LG C3 OLED 4k TV as a monitor. The G1 is considerably slower for browsing or video so I use the G2 most of the time. However, the maximum resolution I can achieve on the TV external monitor is 1920x1080 (HD) which is listed also as the highest and the recommended . Even if I change the refresh rate on the Notebook, the resolution options remain the same.
When I swap the Notebooks, the G1 will default to the recommendation of 4k. How can I get 4K with the G2?
Thanks
