That was the next thing I was going to suggest...install the wireless assistant if you had not done so already.

Something that may be surprising regarding the age of the machine : the NW8440 is still working fine with Windows 10 Creators update.
All the original HP drivers for Vista are either recognized or updated by Microsoft, the only troublesome one is the old ATI/AMD FireGL V5200 Graphic Card which preferably needs the "Catalyst 12.11 B11 HotFix 11.09 V5 Final" that can easily be found via Google.

The main problem with this PC being the ram which is starting to be a bit short with only 3+ Gb maximum, but all in all still a very good machine used daily.
