HP Laptop 17-cn0013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am attempting to help my fiancé set up her work laptop and connect two hdmi monitors via a USB c docking station to HP Laptop 17-cn0013dx but I cannot get it to recognize the monitors. If I connect each monitor to the hdmi port it will recognize them individually but using the USB c I am failing horribly.  Any assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated. I have conned the 11 in 1 USB c device to another laptop via USB c and it working without any issues.

The specs of your machine is

          https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c07071716

It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A DisplayLink Certified options on market today including some HP products (you can select HP before Search)

               True Universal Docking Stations
