I want to usar my Laptop HP ENVY Laptop 13 (Ultrabook) with the lid close placed in a vertical desk support with an external monitor.
I notice that the laptop ventilation is in front of the monitor and get covered by the lid when it is closed.
Can I close the lid and safely use the laptop with the lid closed? I it might get overheated?
BR,
Cristian

From the last century, I've been using many laptops/notebooks with their lids closed. Same as all 3 machines in front of me right now .
My answer is: you can closed the lid when using external monitor.
Regards.

I also has been using al HP laptops that my emplyer provide me. but they are elitbook and clearly designed to be used on desktop, since we have a docking station. But the HP Envy that I bought for my wife has the ventilation inside instead of my elitbook that has the vent on the side. that is why I am asking.
Well lets try it.
Thanks.
