I have an Elitebook 840 with the provided docking station (slim, 2 Displayports and one HDMI).  At work I had two HDMI monitors, and that worked flawlessly, one HDMI to HDMI the other HDMI to Displayport.  However, working remotely, I can't get my monitor with dual inputs, one HDMI and one VGA, to connect properly using the VGA to Displayport.  It does not recognize the VGA.  However, if I connect the displayport to my desktop, it does recognize it.  Any ideas what I need to do?

Thanks, Mike

From Display port (digital) to VGA (analog) you need a proper converter. Do you have the RIGHT converter ?

I have a VGA to DisplayPort cable that works fine when plugged into my Radeon RX 550 card in my HP Pvailion TP01-0027c.  What would make the difference there?
