Hello,
I would appreciate it if somebody would help me with this issue. A green vertical line has appeared on the left side of the screen. The laptop has not suffered any drops or shocks prior. What could be the reason for this? Does guarantee cover this issue? If further information is needed let me know 🙂

@Chefito
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

  • When was the last time it worked without these issues?
  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?
  • Have you checked the display on an external monitor?

let’s try these steps to resolve the problem:

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hallo, thank you for the fast response.
In BIOS the line appears as well. I also updated the drivers but the line wont go away. I have no opportunity to test it to a different monitor :(.

@Chefito

Thank you for posting back.

This is a hardware related issue with the display, I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to replace the display assembly.

Does the warranty cover that?
