Hi @UNCOMMONBJJ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your Victus Gaming Laptop 16 powers on but shows no display, even on a secondary screen, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Power Drain

  • Disconnect the laptop from any power source.
  • Remove any connected peripherals.
  • Hold down the power button for around 15-30 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect the charger and try turning it on again.

BIOS Reset

  • Perform a BIOS Reset by pressing and holding the power button with the laptop unplugged. Then plug it back in and try turning it on.
  • Alternatively, some HP laptops have a BIOS Recovery key (usually the F2 or F10 key) you can press repeatedly right after powering on. If this loads the BIOS screen, check for any settings that may have been modified or reset the BIOS to default.

Check for Error LEDs or Sounds

  • Look for any flashing lights or listen for beeps, as these can indicate hardware issues like RAM or GPU failures.

Try Safe Mode or External Display Mode

  • Try pressing Windows + P after powering on (with an external monitor attached) to see if it cycles to external display options.
  • If Safe Mode loads, this could indicate a graphics driver issue; in that case, try updating or reinstalling the graphics driver.

Use HP’s BIOS Crisis Recovery Mode

  • HP laptops sometimes support a crisis recovery feature. With the laptop off, hold Windows + B (or Windows + V) and then press the power button, continuing to hold the keys for a few seconds before releasing. This might load the BIOS recovery screen if there’s a corrupted BIOS.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
