Performed the following steps Upgrading this PC from Win 8.1 to Win 10
1. Installed all Windows 8.1 Updates
2. Installed all Windows 8.1 Drivers Updates
3. Upgraded to Windows 10 22H2
4. Installed all Windows 10 Updates
5. Installed all Windows 10 Drivers Updates
Everything was working as expected and shutdown last night
After turning off the machine booted up this morning I had a very Dull Screen could hardly see the Login Password Box
Plugged in External HDMI Monitor and both screen operated as normal. Main Notebook screen now only operates when an
External Monitor is connected otherwise it runs very dull. Function F3 Birghtness Control has no effect. I Unistalled the Video Device and removed Driver Software and rebooted letting Windows 10 install its own driver but still the same result.
There are 3 Video Drivers listed under this model on the HP Website. I have tried installing both Intel HD Drivers and they say they are not compatible with this OS and the 3rd NVidia HD Driver has an error when installing after the Pack is unzipped saying that the file is corrupted so wasn't able to test this one. Tried downloading it on another PC but same result. Has anyone experienced this same issue and if so did they find a fix. It maybe that this particular Video Card is not compatible with Windows 10 22H2 as the available drivers on the HP Website are all early version Windows 10 Graphics Drivers from 2015. I normally use Driver Easy which usually sorts out 99% of our Driver issues but in this case it hasn't. Any assistance would be appreciated.
