Certain web videos are playing zoomed in, no error messages are coming up it is just so zoomed in you cannot tell what you are looking at. I've restarted, I've done all the things I've found about saving and restarting computer from control panel, I even turned off the autozoom feature. I don't know what else to do without losing everything on my labtop. Anyone know how to fix this?

@candice3

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that your experiencing issue with video playback is zoomed when played from the website

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • When was the last time it worked fine?
  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Could you please share the screenshot of the display?
  • What is the operating system?

While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

Please follow these steps: ( For Windows 10 and 8 )

  • Press Windows key + R to open the Run command box.
  • Type devmgmt.msc, then press Enter.
  • Click the arrow beside Display adapters to expand.
  • Double left click on the Display adapter and go to Driver tab.
  • Click Update Driver.

If the videos still zoom in then please continue with the following steps:

  • Go to Control panel - Power options
  • Now click on the "Change plan settings" next to the selected power plan.
  • Click on "Change advanced power settings".
  • Now, expand the "Graphics settings".
  • Make sure the "Maximum performance" is selected on both batteries & plugged in options.
  • Scroll down and expand the "Multimedia settings" and select "Maximum performance" for both battery and plugged in options for video playback.
  • Apply the settings, restart your notebook and then check the performance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" from the drop-down menu on the upper right corner,

Hello @Echo_Lake ,

I tried the listed suggestions but none of that worked. The product number is M7S73AV. It has been some months since it last worked fine. I'm unsure if it was an update that changed how it worked. The operating system is windows windows 10 (64- bit)
