Just found out that my son had been taken his college online classes without the video. Getting "We can't find camera" Error 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached>. My models doesn't have any button to turn on or off the camera. It is not in the  device manager and I am scared to reinstall the entire Laptop. Service centers are telling me 3 - 4 weeks to review and repair.

@cdthompson here's a few steps to resolve the issue, start with checking for the webcam kill switch (if available on your model, if not: click here & follow the steps) and ensure its turned on, that said, If the drivers for the Imaging devices, which include the webcam, are not displayed in the Device Manager, here's all you need to do, to resolve this issue, once and for all:
Learn how to restore an HP webcam in Windows Device Manager

  1. Restart your computer.

If the problem persists, continue using these steps.

  2. In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

  3. If there is no Imaging devices category listed, select Action, then Scan for hardware changes.

  4. If Device Manager does not recognize the webcam after the scan, use Microsoft System Restore to go back to a time when the webcam was working properly.

If problems persist, the webcam might have become unplugged internally, and the computer might require service to correct the issue.

My system restore only goes back to 4/23 and I believe I was having the problem at that time and in device manager there are no imaging devices. I'm in Houston and your system only shows to different places to get my unit repaired and one of them is a phone repair shop. That scares me

Thanks for all your advise, I tried everything, but nothing worked. We had taken the unit in about 6 months ago and never verified the webcam was working after that service.  I took it in to UBreakiFix and found out that the cable for the webcam was not connected.

Thanks Again
