Hi @Cristian2001,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your webcam!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Software Control: You can disable the camera through the operating system.
- Windows Settings:
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
- Turn off Allow apps to access your camera to disable all app access.
- Device Manager:
- Type Device Manager in the Windows search box and open it.
- Navigate to Cameras, right-click on your camera, and select Disable device.
Physical Tape: As a temporary physical solution, you might consider placing opaque tape or a camera cover sticker over the camera lens for manual privacy control.
Camera Lens Cover Accessories: Some vendors sell camera lens covers that can attach to laptops for manual sliding cover control. These can serve as a physical privacy solution.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
