Example: Pavilion 15cw0505sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop can no longer connect to my webcam. If I click on the camera app, I just get a blank screen and an error message. Very frustrating as my laptop is relatively new, but out of guarantee, and the camera just decided to stop working in the middle of a Teams meeting. Does anyone know if there is a solution to this issue, please? I've tried to reinstall drivers to no avail. the camera no longer shows up in the Device Manager, even under hidden items. I have no switch to turn the camera on and off on my laptop model and have tried all of the function keys too, all to no avail.

Thank you for your reply. I have followed all of the recommended advice from HP and have even reset my computer to factory settings today but the camera still does not work. I suspect that there is a physical disconnection, but the camera has only been used once (it failed during my first online meeting), the laptop  is treated carefully and is under two years old.  I'll just have to use the laptop without its integrated camera or purchase an external USB camera. The camera doesn't even show up in the device manager.

I recommend you contact support as it looks like a hardware issue.
