Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb0000 (598U8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I’m experiencing a persistent issue with the webcam on my HP Victus laptop. When I attempt to use the camera, the indicator light keeps blinking continuously. The Camera app briefly shows a “No connected devices” error, which disappears almost immediately. After that, the app keeps switching between camera and photo modes without showing any video feed.

I have already tried multiple troubleshooting steps, including:

  • Updating camera drivers via Device Manager
  • Updating BIOS and Windows
  • Running HP Hardware Diagnostics (no issues detected)
  • Checking Device Manager, which shows the webcam status as “working”

Despite all this, the problem persists. I’ve also noticed that many other Victus users have reported similar webcam issues since the beginning of summer, which makes me think this might be a broader compatibility or driver-related problem.

I would appreciate it if HP could investigate this issue further and provide a working solution or official update.
