@Anindyasri, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your webcam was working fine until you updated to Windows 11 version 24H2. Let’s go through a few steps to get it working again:
Check Camera Privacy Settings
- Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
- Make sure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are both turned On.
- Scroll down and ensure the specific app you're using (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Camera) has permission.
Reinstall or Update the Camera Driver
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
- Right-click your camera and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop. Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
- If not, visit HP Support page and enter your laptop model to manually download the latest camera driver.
Run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
HP provides a built-in tool to test your webcam:
- Turn off your laptop.
- Turn it back on and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Select Component Tests > Webcam Test and follow the on-screen instructions.
Use HP Support Assistant
- Download or open HP Support Assistant.
- Go to My devices > Updates and check for any driver or firmware updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
