Whats this bad smell coming from the bottom left side of my keyboard??

While eating today I could smell this metallic scent coming from the bottom left side and corner of my keyboard. I dont know how to describe it but thats the closest, there is so bumps or anything leaking out of it, neither is there any discolouring on it. The smell started to also come from my hands and when I washed it with dish soap it transferred to the other hand (the smell). I have no issues with the battery draining, its normal, my laptop works completely fine its just the smell thats realling getting to be and is VERY annoying. I cleaned it up with alcohol free wipes but i doubt that did anything since the smell is still there. the smell ends at my left shift button. I have been resting wet hands on that area, i accidently do leave it on in the middle of the night but I dont know if it over heats since my laptop turns off itself if I dont interact with it for a certain amount of time. That area doesnt and hasnt ever heat up. Typing right now has again put that weird smell on the palm of my hand. Please help, why is this happening?? (I dont know what to put for the board thing so i just put a random thing)
