HP pavillion laptop 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

I am having a problem where my laptop screen becomes dull after watching video( mainly netflix ) on fullscreen. I see many others have the same issue and I tried almost every 'solution' and yet the problem persists. This is gone when i use a monitor which is most of the time. Its only a minor annoyance but I would like it fixed. Other than this, I am perfectly happy with my laptop. Thanks in advance!

Hello @CurlierStew,

Yeah, I've heard this issue a few times but I'm not exactly sure on the solution.

A specific model name or product number would be appreciated. E.g. HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0028ca or 5MT98UA#ABL

Information on how to find a laptop's model name or product number is detailed in this HP document. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Community. The difference between a product number and a serial number is that the product number contains a # sign)

I'm going to assume that your laptop runs Intel HD graphics. Could you open Windows search and type in Intel Graphics Control Panel or right-click your desktop and click Intel Graphics Control Panel?

You might want to try adjusting some settings in Video or Power and see if it makes any changes.

Keep me updated.

Hi @EddyK

Unfortunately adjusting power and video settings did nothing. I tried almost everything in the video and power settings and not one worked. As for the products name, here is what I could find : HP Pavilion Laptop 14-ce0xxx . I apologise if incorrect but I hope it can help.

Thanks for your advice and I hope we can get this fixed.
