Product: HP Chromebook 14 G6
Operating System: Chrome OS
A student broke the LCD on an Hp Chromebook 14 g6. These units use an "adhesive support strip" (stretch tape) to secure the LCD rather than screws.
Hp service guide does not provide a part number.
3rd Party LCD suppliers do not list this part.
I watched several videos on how to remove the old lcd by using a heat gun and prying the unit out before finding information on how to access and remove the tape by pulling (stretching) it off. Works much like a command strip.
Now finding it impossible to locate replacement strips.
