Product: HP envy 15 ep1503na
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Envy 15 ep1503na and when I turned it on today it was showing a white screen (of death). I connected it to a secondary monitor and could use it through that. I searched for potential solutions and rolled back recent windows updates. Given the secondary monitor was working I figured it was unlikely to be a driver issue. The forum advice was then to restart windows in safe mode. I tried this and did not realise that safe mode would disable the secondary monitor. Starting in safe mode has not helped as I still get a white screen and now cannot access the computer at all ass I can't see anything. I hve tried pressing and holding the power button repeatedly but this only seems to put the laptop to sleep. How can I stop windows starting in safemode and access my secondary monitor again and how can I force a restart or hard reset an HP 15 ep1503na?
