Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, after seeing that Windows 11 was a pail comparison to 10, I reverted back. And guess what? The option of Screen Auto-rotation was just gone. No related options or anything. Just POOF. Entire capability just vanished. Now, to enjoy the convertibility of my laptop, I have to manually flip the screen THEN fold my laptop.

I'd like that back, please.

Signed,

A guy wondering why "upgrading" suddenly means taking away convenient features that WORK in favor of nothing (if we're lucky,) or crap that we'd expect on OLDER OS's.

Hi@E_M_DuBois,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

As per the windows, 11 table mode is disabled needs to be used manually.

  1. To get to them, open the Windows Settings in Windows 11 and go to System > Display.
  2. Here you can find two options called Display orientation and Rotation lock.
  3. It is possible to disable automatic screen rotation in Windows 11 by enabling the Rotation lock option.
  4. If you want to show your device in Landscape or Portrait mode, you can choose the corresponding option from the Display orientation menu.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
