Hi @RichieRich0009, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Spectre x360 14-ef0001ni is experiencing a sensor or software-related issue where the display turns off when switching to tablet mode. Here are a few possible causes and solutions:

Check Rotation Lock & Display Settings

>Press Win + A to open Quick Settings.

>Look for Rotation Lock and toggle it on/off to see if it changes behavior.

>Go to Settings > System > Display and ensure tablet mode settings are configured correctly.

Update Drivers & BIOS

>Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).

>Expand Sensors and Human Interface Devices.

>Right-click any related devices (e.g., Intel Integrated Sensor Hub) and choose Update driver.

>Also, check for BIOS updates via HP Support Assistant or HP website.

Run Windows Troubleshooter

>Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional Troubleshooters.

>Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

 Check Power Management Settings

>Open Device Manager.

>Under Sensors, right-click Intel Integrated Sensor Hub > Properties.

>Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Disable and Re-enable Sensors

>Open Device Manager and expand Sensors.

>Right-click Intel Integrated Sensor Hub and select Disable device, then Enable it again.

Check for Windows Updates

>Go to Settings > Windows Update and install any pending updates.

Reset Windows Sensors

>Open Command Prompt (Admin) and run: get-appxpackage *sensors* | remove-appxpackage

Restart your laptop and check if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
