Product: OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-b1000 (603T6AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
My HP OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-b1000 (603T6AV) can no longer detect external HDMI/DisplayPort monitors connected via USB Type-C. It used to work until I think an update was installed and now it won't work.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling updates - this hasn't resolved the issue.
- Other than external monitors everything else works fine when connected to the USB Type-C port - so I don't think there is a hardware issue with the USB Type-C port.
- I have tried connecting other external HDMI/DisplayPort monitors using different cables and different USB Type-C hubs through the USB Type-C port, and nothing works - so there isn't a hardware issue with the peripherals I am using to connect the monitor as nothing works.
- Other Windows 11 devices can detect to the monitor using exactly the same hardware - so the issue is not the USB Type-C expansion hub to which the HDMI cable is connected.
- I have uninstalled/re-installed the nVIDIA and Intel display drivers - this hasn't helped.
It appears that detecting an external monitor connected through the USB Type-C port is the problem. Once the monitor is detected I am sure the issue will be resolved. I've tried everything, I'm out of ideas.
