HP ENVY
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

got this laptop a few days ago. love it I cant seem to get the window's 10 facial recognition to work. it is greyed out and Windows 10 tells me the camera is not compatible, however, from what read it should be. I have also read others have got it working. Also I am not having any luck... I have tried everything I can think of started from scratch with a new account. Anyone know how to get this to work ? thanks

@CoolMango

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I'll be glad to help. Let's try these steps,

Step 1: Uninstall and reinstall the IR camera driver

Step 2: Remove the Face Recognition and PIN sign-in settings

Step 3: Clear the Trusted Platform Module (TPM)

Step 4: Add a PIN and set up Face Recognition

Step 5: Perform a system reset
