Wrong graphics driver - switchable graphics does not work.

Hi. A while ago I bought a pavilion 15-cd006la laptop which has the following specifications:

CPU: AMD Quad-Core A12-9720P APU (2.7 GHz base frequency, up to 3.6 GHz burst frequency, 2 MB cache).

Memory: 16 GB SDRAM DDR4-1866 (2 x 8 GB).

Video graphics:

• Graphics AMD Radeon™ 530 (4 GB DDR3 dedicated).
• Discrete.

Hard Drive: 1TB SATA disk at 5400 rpm.

The problem itself is that no game runs with discrete video graphics, moreover, it appears as a 535DX (which I think is the Radeon 530 added to the Radeon R7 Graphics with Dual Graphics technology). No matter what you configure in the Switchable Graphics panel (be it Energy Saving, High Performance, or According to the power), the game always runs on the graphics integrated to the processor (the Radeon R7 Graphics), being checked with the Windows administrator , GPUz and MSI Afterburner.

Same problem on HP Pavilion 15-ab115ur (A10-8700P with Radeon R6 and Radeon R7 M360). Windows 10 somehow defines the integrated adapter as both energy-efficient and high-performance, and ignores the discrete video adapter. I tried reinstalling the operating system, tried different versions of drivers, but nothing helps. There may be an error in the operating system itself.

So far, I have found a temporary solution - go to "power supply > configure power supply scheme > change additional power parameters > switchable graphics adapters" and set "maximum performance" there. The discrete adapter will be enabled for all applications. In some applications, such as Word 2016, image distortion may occur, so you will only need to enable this option before starting the game.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I have already tried configuring the "high performance" settings in windows and nothing changed. I think that the driver that I have installed is for the exclusive use of Dual Graphics (from Crossfire), since when I activate dual graphics the second gpu works together with the IGPU (but the performance is very poor, as it's not the driver of this machine, neither for the discrete gpu), but when I deactivate Dual Graphics nothing changes.

The most interesting thing is that OpenGL applications run on a discrete video card without any additional settings. Checked on Unigine Valley.

First of all, thanks for your suggestion. I have already put it in "maximum performance" without obtaining any change.

I have seen that there are many laptops affected by this (15-cd002/3/5/6/8,), and they did not obtain solutions by any means (and less from HP). What strikes me most is that if HP sells me a laptop "with a powerful 4gb graphics card" and these are not even recognized by the task manager, the games and the applications; added to that I ALWAYS use the IGPU for everything ... I have been scammed with this laptop?? What are the steps to follow to use something that should be automatic and precise??

I can assume that manual switching only works for fixed mode. HP laptops with dual AMD graphics work in dynamic mode, in which the system itself must decide which video card is better to use in the application. But apparently this mode does not always work correctly. By the way, Unigine Superposition Benchmark itself switches to a discrete video card without any settings.
