I purchased my x360 envy 7 months ago (I have had to send it off for repair twice already in that time because of a WiFi connection problem!) Whilst using the laptop I opened the screen and heard a crack, only to see that the left hinge had dropped and smashed through the bottom corner of the screen! The hinge was completely stuck making it difficult to even close the laptop for transporting it. I phoned the warranty company and was told to take it to my closest Currys for them to send it off, where the technician also told me, it was a manufacturing problem. So, what am I supposed to do when yesterday I received a text saying they will be sending me back my product unrepaird as it isn't covered by my service agreement?!

This is clearly not an isolated incident and one simple Google search shows that it is infact a massive manufacturing problem with these laptops, so any help as to what my next steps should be would be greatly appreciated. I'd just like to stress, I didn't at any point drop or damage the laptop and I'm sure we can all agree that being expected to buy a new laptop after 7 months is just insanity! HP you should be ashamed of yourselves for not fixing this problem when you knew about it and instead passing it onto your loyal customers!
